What makes a custom deck different from a printed novelty deck?
A real custom deck is printed on black-core card stock, which blocks light from passing through the card so opponents cannot read a face from the back. It is then coated and cut on a rotary die so the corners are consistent and the edges shuffle cleanly.
Novelty decks printed on uncoated white-core stock look fine in photos and fail in hand — they stick together, wear at the corners, and telegraph faces under lamp light. Every stock we run is black-core or plastic, and every deck is finished with a slip coating so it handles like a deck should.
What can you customize?
Faces, backs, jokers, card count, card size, tuck box artwork, and box finishes are all open. Common upgrades include metallic foil stamping, spot UV, soft-touch lamination, embossing, and gilded edges in gold, silver, or a custom color.
If you need something outside the standard poker or bridge footprint — oracle, jumbo, mini, or a fully bespoke die — we cut to your specification. Browse the full stock lineup on our card stock and materials page before you configure a quote.
How much do custom playing cards cost?
Cost depends on four things: quantity, card stock, card size, and packaging. Because those combinations change the number meaningfully, we do not publish a flat price list on this page — the quote tool prices your exact configuration in about thirty seconds.
Enter your deck count, pick a stock, and the calculator returns real per-deck and total pricing along with a downloadable quote. There is no obligation, and every quote includes a free file review before anything goes to press.
How long does production take?
Standard turnaround runs about two to three weeks from proof approval, depending on quantity and finishing. Foil, gilding, and custom die-cut boxes add time; plain decks in stock sizes move fastest.
Rush scheduling is available on most configurations. Flag your in-hand date in the quote and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable before you commit.
What files do you need?
Print-ready PDF, AI, or high-resolution PNG at 300 DPI with 1/8 inch bleed on every edge. Our free templates page has dielines for every stock size we run, including tuck boxes.
No designer? The online designer lets you build a deck in the browser from your own images, and our prepress team fixes minor file issues at no charge rather than bouncing the order back to you.

The stock decides how the deck feels and how long it survives. Three options cover nearly every project.

|---|---|---|---|
| 300 GSM smooth black-core | Slick, flat finish | Photo decks, budget-sensitive giveaways | Good |
| 310 GSM black-core linen | Textured, snappy, classic casino feel | Most custom decks, gifts, branded decks | Very good |
| 100% plastic | Flexible, waterproof, no memory | Poker rooms, bars, pools, cruise ships, heavy play | Excellent — washable, tear-resistant |
